The Cardinia growth corridor adds around 255 new dwellings a year, and Pakenham East is planned for 7,000+ homes. That means a steady stream of new-build interiors that need a proper first paint, and a wave of owners repainting over the builder’s thin handover coat. We paint new homes in Officer (Arena, Timbertop, Kaduna Park), Pakenham East and the newer Cardinia Lakes releases.
New-build painting.
- Over the builder’s coat: builders hand over with a single coat of cheap flat acrylic that scuffs easily. We lightly sand, fill handover defects, then two coats of washable low-VOC paint in your colours.
- Full interior: walls, ceilings, cornices, skirting, architraves and doors — the lot, done properly the first time.
- Exterior: render, weatherboard or brick, eaves, fascia, gutters and garage door, painted to AS/NZS 2311.

Most new-build owners have a blank canvas and no idea where to start. We bring sample pots and colour fans on-site, read the home’s light, flooring and facade, and suggest a scheme that flows room to room — a consistent wall colour, a crisp trim, and one or two feature walls. It’s part of the quote, not an extra.
Renovation & extension painting.
Across the established Cardinia Lakes, Lakeside and Heritage Springs estates, renovation painting is constant work: blending new plasterboard and trim into existing rooms so the join is invisible, painting new bathrooms, kitchens and added rooms, and either colour-matching the existing scheme or repainting the whole area so old and new look like one.

A full interior-and-exterior paint on a new single-storey build is typically $14,000–$24,000; interior-only on a new build $7,000–$13,000. Worked example: a new 4-bedroom single-storey Officer home — full interior in low-VOC, plus render exterior, eaves, fascia and garage door — came in at about $18,500, handed back ready to move into.
